TWO ADDITIONAL FISHOMANIA QUALIFIERS ADDED AS MARLOW JOINS THE FIELD

Matchroom Multi Sport and Angling Trust are pleased to announce that, due to popular demand, an additional two UK qualifiers will take place for this year’s FishOMania, while 2019 Junior champion Billy Marlow will also join the line-up on Saturday, August 29 at Hayfield Lakes in Doncaster.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING MATCHES
Monk Lakes | Saturday, August 1 | 100 Pegs
Heronbrook Fisheries | Wednesday, August 12 | 100 Pegs

Tickets for both matches will be available by contacting Angling Trust Competitions Team on 0115 822 4519 or 0115 822 4532

Huge demand has seen all 18 UK qualifying matches sell out and, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and associated travel restrictions, of the proposed four international qualifiers only the match in Germany will be able to take place. Therefore, an additional two UK qualifiers have been added, while Marlow has been invited to participate in order to ensure a 24-angler field.

The additional qualifiers will both be 100 peg matches, Monk Lakes will host a qualifier on Saturday, August 1 and Heronbrook Fisheries will host the final qualifier on Wednesday, August 12.

Tickets for Monk Lakes will be available from 10am on Tuesday, July 28 until 11am on Friday, 31st July and tickets for Heronbrook Fisheries will be available from 10am on Monday, August 3 until 11am on Tuesday, 11th August.

Anglers should note due to the launch a new Angling Trust website and booking system, tickets and pools for both matches must be made by contacting the competitions team by telephone on 0115 822 4519 or 0115 822 4532.

The prize fund for this year’s event has been increased to include sections winners’ prizes. There will be four sections of six anglers, and the angler with the highest total weight from the sections which do not produce the winner or runner-up will receive £2,500.

This year’s FishOMania is already set to be one of the most fiercely contested yet. Record-breaking three-time champion Jamie Hughes has already qualified, as has Andy Power, who finished twice in 2017 and 2018.

Defending champion Andy Bennett will also peg it up at Hayfield Lakes, as will Ladies National Champion Abbi Kendall.

The peg draw for FishOMania will take place on Tuesday, August 25 and will be streamed live at www.facebook.com/fishomaniamatch, www.youtube.com/matchroommultisport and at www.fishomania.net.
