Kristian creeps into Final!

This last chance saloon for Fish’O’Mania was held at the ever improving Lindholme lakes and following several days of low pressure, little wind and heavy rain, the competitors were a little apprehensive at the draw. However, temperatures remained on the cool side and there was a stiff wind which clearly improved the prospects and so, once again, this prolific venue did not fail to produce the goods. Indeed, twenty six anglers recorded weights in excess of 100lbs.

The final result could not have been closer. After several recounts of each angler’s multiple weighs, just 2ozs separated first and second places with 21 year -old Kristian Jones just getting the verdict with 191lbs 5ozs. Fishing at peg 8 on Bennys, Kristian took F1s to 3lbs fishing casters shallow at 13 meters, before switching to pellets on the short line.

Just missing out was former finalist Ryan Lidgard from nearby Barton on Humber. Ryan took F1s plus some bigger carp to 10lbs from peg 35 on Loco fishing pellets shallow to record 191lbs 3ozs.

Third spot went to Ryan McKinley from peg 48 on Willows. His net of 186lbs 3ozs comprised F1s to 5lbs taken shallow on casters at 3 meters. Fourth was Adam Richards who weighed 168lbs 13ozs and fifth Chris Weeder Jnr with 164lbs 4ozs.

A big thank you to Neil, Aaron and the whole team at Lindholme for being such good hosts. We also extend our thanks to David Kent for another stellar job.
