Fish'O'Mania XXV - Everything You Need To Know

Fish‘O’Mania returns to Hayfield Lakes, Doncaster this Saturday, July 14 and ahead of the big day we’ve gathered all the vital information in one place.

Venue
Hayfield Lakes plays host to Fish‘O’Mania for a 12th time, and for the first time since 2007. One of the UK’s premier fisheries, Hayfield boasts three well-stocked lakes. The Fish‘O’Mania XXV Grand Final, Fish‘O’Mania Juniors and Fish‘O’Mania Ladies will all be fished on the Island Lake (see ‘Pegs’ below). See below ‘Car Parking’ for directions to Hayfield Lakes.

Match Times
Gates will open at 10am and the ‘All-In’ for Fish‘O’Mania will be shortly after midday, with the match concluding shortly after 5pm.
Fish’O’Mania Juniors will fish from 11am until 3pm
Fish’O’Mania Ladies will run from 11:30am until 3:30pm

Tickets

Trade stands
A wide variety of trade stands will be exhibiting at this year’s Fish‘O’Mania. There will also be tackle demos from a number of companies and fair ground rides for children to enjoy. A full list of trade stands and exhibitors can be found here: https://fishomania.net/trade-stands/

Anglers
A total of 24 anglers will peg it up at this year’s Fish‘O’Mania Grand Final. Qualifying matches took place across England from March to June with two international qualifiers; one at Snakelake de Berenkuil, Netherlands and another in Belgium at Carpodrom. Ladies
The top six from the Angling Trust Ladies National Championship will once again compete in Fish‘O’Mania Ladies. In additional to the Grand Final – qualifiers for which are open to both male and female competitors – the Ladies match will take place for the 19th time this summer with anglers fishing for the £1,000 top prize. Juniors
The six section winners from the Angling Trust Youth National Championship qualify for the Fish‘O’Mania Junior match, with £1,000 up for grabs for the winner. Full details of the Junior match can be found at: https://fishomania.net/news/junior-fishomania-anglers-confirmed/

Pegs
The peg draw for this year’s Fish‘O’Mania will take place at 5pm on Friday, July 13 and will be streamed live at www.facebook.com/fishomaniamatch. Anglers will draw one of the following Island Lake pegs, renumbered as 1-24 for the purposes of Fish‘O’Mania.

Prize Money
Each of the 24 qualifiers for Fish‘O’Mania XXV receives a guaranteed £500. The match winner will net a cool £50,000 with the runner-up taking home £10,000. The Fish‘O’Mania Ladies and Fish‘O’Mania Junior match winners will each collect £1,000.

TV Coverage
The Fish’O’Mania XXV Grand Final will air live on Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports Mix from 12-5:30pm on Saturday, July 14. The event will also be broadcast internationally on the following networks:

Match format
The match is fished to Angling Trust match rules with some local rules applying including no floating baits to be fed, barbless hooks must be used and no use of floating pole. The competitors are weighed in every 30 minutes and at the conclusion of the five hour match, the angler with the greatest aggregate weight of the ten weigh-ins will be declared the champion.

On site car parking is available priced £5 per car. Coach parking is by arrangement by calling 01302 864 555. Gates will open at 10am.

Directions:
From the M1 motorway take the M18 exit at junction 32 towards Hull/Doncaster. Continue on to the M18 motorway. At junction 3, take the A6182 exit towards Doncaster. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto Great Yorkshire Way (A6182). At the next roundabout, take the first exit and stay on the Great Yorkshire Way (A6182). Continue along the Great Yorkshire Way / A6182 until you see signs for Bawtry Road (A638). Turn left at the traffic lights onto Hurst Lane. Continue on Hurst Lane, then at the second set of lights, turn left into Hayfield Lane. Carry on Hayfield Lane. Hayfield Lakes will be on your right hand side.
